Timothy Oulton Inspiration

Okay, I know I’m obsessing a bit.  I love the mix of antiques and high end style at Timothy Oulton.  Day one, Carolyn took me to the showroom.  Day two, I had to take Super Sister to see all the wonderfulness.   (True confession – I dragged Ever-Lovin’ along – I so wanted him to see it, and he really liked the movable wall art.)

That afternoon, we returned to our world, and decided to go to Target.  We thought we could look for large storage jars and tiered servers that slightly resembled the ones we had see at Timothy Oulton that morning.  We found some that were okay, but…  In the end we decided we did not have any more storage space at our homes for such large items.

As we walked the store, Super Sister first noticed a bookend/figurine of a gear.

It had the industrial look and feel of some of the items we had seen earlier.  I liked it and wondered if anyone I knew could use it.

Then as we strolled along, Be still my heart!  There on an end-cap were several items of British decor.  Trust me!  I fully realize that these items are not on par with items in the Timothy Oulton showroom, but they might work for you if you want a hint of Jolly ol’ England in your home.
This Union Jack  box is the perfect size to fit on a shelf or on a vanity.  Just imagine all the things that could be stored in this box.
The Union Jack pillow is good looking!
Other items (that I can remember) that were on the shelf were coasters, jars, and a Big Ben pillow.
Here are a couple of other items I have found recently.
This USA flag pillow was at World Market earlier this summer.  They also had Union Jack pillows.
Texas napkins can be found at SAM’s.  Union Jack napkins can be found at the British Emporium in Grapevine.
Union Jack shopping bags can be found at Marshall’s.  Also at Marshall’s is a shiny silver metal trunk that even has drawers. I like it so much that I wish someone I know would buy it, and then I could visit it.
Remember the TV show where they would show you a high-end decorated room, and then try to duplicate it on a budget?  That is what I am thinking, but you probably need some over-the-top good looking furniture to pull off the look.  Still, maybe some of these items would be worth trying.
Blessings to you and yours,
None of the stores mentioned above know me, and I only shared these items with you because I thought it would be fun.  Happy shopping!
