Theater Camp

Grandson Hot Rot attended Theater Camp at J. J. Pearce High School recently.  Can you imagine over seventy kids  (4th – 9th graders) working together for one week to produce a show?  Sweet Mother of Pearl.  It gives me a headache just to think about it.  I do not know who I feel sorrier for – the students or the teachers.  That being said, it was wonderful what they accomplished during one week.

The program consisted of scenes and music from several musical shows. Hot Rod is very comfortable on stage.  It is amazing.  Of course, I had to take a few pictures of Hot Rod  during show. (Sorry, I could not resist.)

Hot Rod’s first number was All We Need is a Girl.  Look at him singing and dancing.  Yeah!

Under the Sea was such a fun number. Hot Rod is in the back with the black hat singing Consider Yourself.

Look at this group jiving to the tune of Honey Bun.  It was too cute.

Guess who had the most hair in the Hair scene?  Groovy! The last number from Homework was beautiful. Hot Rod had a blast.  His teachers were very complimentary – that is always good to hear-, and our budding Thespian has already announced he is planning to go back again next year.

Words can not express the joy of seeing him so happy.

Blessings to you and yours,
