Fall Decor

Blame it on Pinterest.  My fall board is full of gorgeous fall decorations.

Blame it on The Christmas Tree Shops – They were selling pumpkins in early September.

Blame it on the weather – It turned almost cold.  Fall was in the air.

Blame it on the Dallas Arboretum and their 50,000 pumpkins.

This year I have been in the mood (to say the least) to decorate for fall.

Early in September The Christmas Tree Shops had these large pumpkins for sale.  They fit perfectly in the urns by the courtyard, and on the first day of fall (September 22) I put these big babies in the urns.  With a garland of fall leaves, I liked it.

Then I went to the pumpkin closet, retrieved pumpkins, and began adding pumpkins and fall leaves in containers around the house.

On B.T. (Boston Terrier) the Footman – (In honor of Maggie)

Around Shakespeare and his witch’s hat – (“Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn and caldron bubble.”)

On trays – (It’s just an itsy bitsy spider.)

In a vintage pot – (On top of three of my favorite books.)

In a tin cache pot – (Is this even blog worthy?)

On the dining room table – (This needs serious help!)

And on shelves – (I do have a liking for white pumpkins.)

Then Ever-Lovin and I stopped by the Arboretum so Ever-Lovin’ could ride the tram, hear the spiel, and see the pumpkins. (We were “in the neighborhood” and thought we would take advantage of the opportunity.

Sweet Mother of Pearl!  Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere .

I was smitten!  I came home and proceeded to make my way to Kroger to buy pumpkins and mums.

With the old wagons, pumpkins and mums we have a mini- arboretum in the courtyard.

And in the back yard.

Trust me!  I know this does not even begin to come close to the Arboretum, but… I like it.

Blessings to you and yours,

Ever-Lovin’ said I should promise not to mention pumpkins or the Arboretum for a very very long time.  I realize I have been obsessed.  I promise I will try to move on to other subjects.

Thank you for reading.

Love ya,
