Halloween at Presby

For three years we have heard about Halloween on the seventh floor of Presbyterian Hospital (Texas Oncology).  With this staff Halloween is a big, big deal.  This year we were there for the noon parade, and we  had  so much fun.

There were major good costumes, and laughter all around.

It is hard to believe this.   “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” as Richardson Simmons.  Check out the chest and armpit hair.  Oh my! And it gets better.

He/She has a group (the research team) dancing and singing to “Big Girls Don’t Cry”. They always make me smile.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  This darling Jack-o-Lantern is non other than my doctor.  Yes, I am telling the truth.    She is so smart and fun to be around.  I am glad she is my doctor.

This is so precious.  I really, really, really wanted to meet Charlie.  He is beyond cute in his Micky Mouse costume. The costume is darling.  There are gloves and even shoes.  I like it.  I love it.  His mother is my nurse.  She is fantastic, and I love and appreciate her so very much.

A Golden Girl.  She takes my vitals.  – Can you see the gold dust?

Then there was the leader of the band.  She used to be in the infusion room, but she now is a nurse to another doctor.  I love her sense of humor.

Super Girl – now that’s the truth!   – What a great costume.

Dear Gussie!  Can you believe this witch?

How creative.  This lady made a paper mache shark to wear.  Unbelievable.

Oh my!  Hot – hot – hot.  It is hard to believe that this is one of my sweet nurses.  I have to show you the back side of this costume.

Perhaps this costume had something to do with Taco Bell.

Whoa!  The flasher – The lights lit up.  This is another nurse I miss in the infusion room.  She is great. Loved the make-up.    And…

Her husband was down in the little infusion room also flashing.

Do you think this devil wears Prada?

The lab girls came as the Honey Boo-Boos.  They were having so much fun.

She was really a “red neck”.

This is so funny.  “Save the Boo-Bees”.  Too cute!

Tippee’s Nails.  Everyone wanted to be sure they got pictures.

What a pretty angel.

Even the new nurse got with the program.  Cute kitty is going to get along just fine.

This was weird.  This is one of my wonderful regular nurses, and I did not even recognize her.  Wow!

Pretty funny.  This girl is always busy.  She takes my vitals during treatment.  Her mother has had ovarian cancer for twelve years.  Always inspires me.

I love and appreciate this staff so very much.  They are always cheerful and wonderful.  They know how to make a somewhat bad situation better.  Thank you!

Blessings to you and yours,
