A Psalm of Thanksgiving

Psalm 100 has been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember.  In 1968 (a bazillion years ago) I wrote out the entire Psalm 100 for a Thanksgiving bulletin board in Harrodsburg, Indiana.   It was our poem for the month, and most everyone was able to quote it for their Thanksgiving meal.

Every year before our Thanksgiving meal, I quote the King James Version (That is what I first learned.) of Psalm 100.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

This is also the scripture that flooded my very being when I first heard my cancer diagnosis.  I could not and can not explain it, but I accept it as a gift and a blessing.

A few years ago Number One Son helped me make cards to give to the Living Stones Bible Fellowship class.  I wanted to share it with you in case you would like to print it and share it with your friends or place a card on your Thanksgiving table.  They were printed on 4 1/2 inch by 6 1/2 inch off white card stock that I got from Hobby Lobby.  I punched two holes at the top of the card and tied a bow.

This is the first time I have tried to share a “printable” with you.  I do hope it works.

Right click on the link above and choose “save file as”.  This will save the PDF file on your computer.  Then you can print it on any size paper you choose.

Good luck.  Thanks Number One Son for helping me.

Blessings to you and yours,
