Hop and Hunt

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  This was fun.  First Baptist Church Richardson hosted a fantastic day of merriment called Hop and Hunt for the children of our church and the community.  Though the day was wet and dreary, and they had to move the festivities into the Activities Center, it was a great day.

Disclaimer:  I took a bazillion pictures, and this post is long.  Believe me, I left out so many pictures, and if I omitted your picture it was probably due to my bad photography.

Hop and Hunt was fun, fun, fun, and more fun.

The children were beyond adorable in their Easter finery.

I heart this little boy.  He is precious, and his mother came because she wants to come back to church.  Do hope they come back.

Love the smile on these children’s faces.  Getting your face painted can make you happy.

Mustaches are in.  I would have liked a mustache.  The youth did a great job helping.

Too cute.

Love it.  He is so happy.

What a precious child in her spring ensemble.

Adults were all smiles also.

This fine lad stole my heart.  I loved it when he dressed in his Easter clothes.

Since it was raining, we couldn’t have an egg hunt, so they did the next best thing.  They had an egg scoop, and believe me – there were plenty of eggs for everyone.

His bag was full and heavy.

The pretty little lady filled the bucket.   The children loved scooping eggs.

Visitors to the cookie decorating tables were in for a treat.  This little boy was so charming.

This little lady already knows how to pose.  Fantastic!

Makes me laugh.  The cookies were yummy.

The children were so polite.  I did not see one child misbehaving.  Amazing.

Beautiful.

Good looking family.  Love the little girl’s boots.

This pretty girl has on the cutest outfit.  I like it.  I love it.  Even I know that lime green is in.

Over by the oversized balloon carrot, the children could plant carrot seeds. It never hurts to have the children experience a little science.  The children took the planted seeds home.  I do hope they grow.

Probably the most popular person in the room was clown lady that made balloon sculptures.

The line for a balloon sculpture was long, but worth the wait.

Helper clown entertained the people in the long line.

I seriously loved the balloon sculptures Pastor Brett’s girls had.  Wow!

How exciting to be celebrating baby girl’s first Easter.

This good looking family were guest of Pastor Candy.  Hope they will come again.

Melts my heart.

What a precious child.  Do you think she has enough stickers?  Makes me laugh.

The bounce houses fit in the racket ball courts.  So much fun.

It took some hard thinking at the estimation jars.

Congratulations to a winner.  Look at that big smile.  I would be smiling too.

There were so many other games, and everyone had a wonderful time winning prizes.

This family know how to have fun.  The bunny ears are perfect.

Pretty girl.  Love her smile.

Cute baby in the pink shirt was beyond excited to be at Hop and Hunt.  She had a sweet sister to help take care of her.

On the “sidewalk” chalk sheets were some wonderful messages.

Be still my heart.  A child’s expression of their love for God is what we pray for.  It touched me.

I could not agree more.  I too love this church.

Blessings to you and yours,

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”   Matthew 19:14

First Baptist Church Richardson is a church that loves children.  A big thank you to all the staff and volunteers who worked so hard to make Hop and Hunt a success.
