Dinner at Betty and Bob’s

My lifelong friends Betty and Bob moved to McKinney a few years ago, and it has been so much fun getting to be with them.  We have taken trips together – thanks to the generous sharing of their time share –  and eaten out almost weekly.  Occasionally Bob will smoke ribs and wings and invite us out for dinner.  It does not take any persuasion to get us to travel to McKinney for Bob’s ribs and wings.

On this occasion, we were privileged to meet their friends from the physical therapy clinic Jay and Traci.  Do I have pictures of people for this blog?  No.  I am such a dork.  Just know that Jay and Traci are beyond wonderful people, and I now call them our friends.  Jay and Traci are fantastic people.  We loved getting to know them, and to enjoy fellowship as brothers and sisters in Christ.

This sign in Betty and Bob’s home is so true.  They are the ultimate grandparents.

Betty is Queen of the household.  Love it!

This quote is so true, and Betty and Bob do “dance in the rain.”  No matter what trials come their way, they are always positive.

There is always good food to eat at Betty and Bob’s.  You know me.  I always notice dishes.  Betty and Bob’s red dishes are perfect for their home.  I like them.  I love them.

The ribs and wings are seriously good.  Just look at this peppery goodness.  The meat literally falls off the bone.  Delish!  I do not know of a BBQ restaurant that can make better ribs and wings than Bob’s.

Until I began eating Bob’s smoked wings, I did not realize how much meat was on these little darlings.  Yummy!

Wish you could smell this goodness.  The baked beans were very good.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  I loved, loved, loved the potato salad.  It is made with mashed potatoes.  I watched Bob make it, but I need to ask Betty for the recipe.  Then I can share it with you.  It was easy and so tasty.  They even made it purdy.

Thank you Betty and Bob for a most enjoyable evening.  The hospitality, the new friendships, and the food were all wonderful.

Blessings to you and yours,

Pray for Betty.  She is in the hospital to receive antibiotics for an infection.  She might have to be there four weeks.
