Five Guys – Burgers and Fries.  That is what the sign says.

That is just about it.  This is a burger joint that serves burgers and fries. (Plus a few hot dogs and sandwiches.)  Five Guys has a simple menu that focuses on hand made fresh food, and the food was good.

We visited the Five Guys location at 1201 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano across from SAM’S. (There are other locations around town – Galleria Mall for one.)  Sweet Mother of Pearl.  The service was fantastic.  That always puts a good taste in my mouth about a restaurant.  Since we were new to Five Guys, this pleasant lady explained that there are two sizes of burgers and cheeseburgers – regular and little.  The regular have two meat patties, and the little have only one meat patty.

Peanuts were available for snacking while we waited for our meal.  Nice touch.

Our meal arrived.  Just looking at the sack we could tell there was some serious greasy food coming our way.  Disclaimer.  In this sack was a cup overflowing with delicious French fries – thus the grease spots on the bag.  That being said.  I never took a picture of the fries. (Too busy eating them.)  But you need to know.  The fries are cut fresh daily – never frozen.  They are fried in peanut oil, and there are regular fries and Cajun fries (spicy).  We liked them.

See  the policeman in the background.  I always consider it a good sign when policemen or firemen eat at a restaurant.

Then there were the juicy delicious burgers.  We got the little cheeseburgers with one patty of meat.  (It was plenty big enough for us.)  The hand-formed patties on these burgers are made from fresh ground beef.  There are no freezers in their restaurants.

What really impressed me was that you could add any and all the toppings to the burgers for no extra charge.

I got mushrooms, grilled onions and more.  I liked that!  On the Five Guys website, they claim there are 250,000 possible ways to order a burger at Five Guys.  Wow!

Around the restaurant were reviews of good press for Five Guys.  I do think there is a following for these hamburgers.  With grilled juicy fresh made burgers, tasty fries, and excellent service, it is understandable.  If you are in the neighborhood, give them a try.

Blessings to you and yours,

Thank you for reading!  Love,
