Friend BB’s Christmas Home

BB is my dear sweet precious friend.  We have been friends for over forty years, and I cherish her friendship.  This year Friend BB hosted the Jefferson party.  Many moons ago, several of these women took a trip to Jefferson, Texas – thus they are called  Jefferson.  Luckily, some of us have been included in more recent years.

BB makes a party fun.  She has the best sense of humor.  On her dining table was a Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  I like it.  I love it.  It even plays the Charlie Brown theme song.

This folk art Santa and Snowman rock – literally.  They are balanced on this little stand and rock when touched.  It is as if they are flying in space.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  BB’s poinsettia tree is one of my favorite things.  I have never seen another one like it.  It is beautiful with the white poinsettias and shimmering lights.

A carved nativity set from the Holy Land is beautiful.  Let it be known that the book The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (resting under the nativity set) ranks as one of the best books of all times (in my opinion).  If you have not read it, you must.

Be still my heart.   This Chef Santa delivering goodies on a bicycle is my kind of Santa.

A Madam Alexander angel and the Happy Birthday Jesus plate celebrate our Lord’s birth.

Being in BB’s home is a blessing.  These Waterford pieces are exquisite.

BB has a fantastic collection of ornaments from the White House and the Texas Capitol.  Good looking!

After a fun filled afternoon of catching up on what is going on in each other’s lives, sharing stories, reliving memories, and then opening gifts, we were served this luscious dessert.  Sheila, who is the master of presentation, made this Chocolate Torte.  It was as delicious as it was pretty.  Yummy!.

How thankful I am for dear friends.  Life is good, and I am blessed.

Blessings to you and yours.
