Introducing a family favorite:  Siciliano’s A Taste of Italy.

For over 25 years we have been dining at A Taste of Italy.  Our family has celebrated many birthdays at this restaurant, and that is where Mikel chose to go for her birthday dinner.

Over thirty years ago, A Taste of Italy was in a strip shopping center on Walnut Street in Garland, and then about 10 years or so ago Siciliano’s A Taste of Italy moved to North Garland on Beltline Road across from North Garland High School.  The “new” building is large and beautiful.

Italian murals grace the walls.  Welcome to Italy.

Drum roll please!  The absolute best thing about A Taste of Italy are the garlic rolls.  They are the best garlic rolls I have ever eaten.  These rolls are  dripping with garlic butter, soft on the inside, and have a nice crunch on the outside.  I like them.  I love them.  I eat too many of them.

Each meal is served with soup and salad.  The soup and salad are not bad, but neither are they outstanding.

Pizza is a family favorite.  This is the deep dish version – half cheese and half onion.  Very tasty.

Ever-Lovin’ recommends their cheese ravioli.

Lasagna has always been my favorite.  It is full of goodness – cheese, meat, and rich tomato sauce.  After too many garlic rolls, soup, and salad, most of this goodness came home with us.  It was enough for Ever-Lovin’ and me to share for lunch the next day.

Siciliano’s A Taste of Italy is a more than decent neighborhood restaurant.  The garlic rolls are definitely worth a trip to Garland.  I am sure we will celebrate many more birthdays at this family favorite.

Blessings to you and yours,

Siciliano’s A Taste of Italy does not know me.  Just sharing.
