Burger Fixin’s – Celina, Texas

Travel Preston Road past Plano, Allen, McKinney, Frisco and Prosper, and you will come to the little town of Celina.  Oh, urban sprawl has reached this far, and my fantastic nephew Garrett recently moved his sweet family to this charming little town. (I predict it won’t be little much longer.)

After our journey to Waxahachie, Super Sister and I headed to Celina – Super Sister’s destination on this night.  I also wanted to see Garrett and Michele’s new to them home that they are renovating.  As we were getting close to Celina, Super Sister suggested we get dinner.  There was a hamburger joint she wanted us to visit.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  Burger Fixin’s is a delightful little burger shack.  I liked it.  I loved it.

In this little white frame building is the local hamburger joint.

I wanted to blog about this little gem because the food was delicious, and they had this sign posted on their wall.

Christ Centered Business

We give unto Cezar what is Cezar’s.

We give unto God what is God’s.

This food is blessed daily.

We pray this meal will be a blessing for you.

Ron, Fran, Keith, Wanda

I was beyond impressed that they would proclaim their faith in such a manner.  I immediately felt a bond with Burger Fixin’s.

The menu is rather extensive for such a small establishment.  In addition to burgers, they also have Ron’s Barbecue, salads, sandwiches, and chicken.  The prices were reasonable.

There is no inside dining at Burger Fixin’s, but the tables under this grove of trees certainly are inviting.

When we arrived at the house, hugs and kisses from the Grands, made the trip worthwhile.

This is the outside of their “new” home.  Glory be!  They have done so much to renovate this home.  The bricks have been painted grey, overgrown buses have been removed, and flower beds have been established.  Inside they have painted, moved walls, added and painted cabinets, and so much more.  I hope to get to show it to you when they finish.

When we finally sat down to eat, I was so excited, I forgot to take many pictures.  This was my Chicken Fixin Platter (minus 1/2 of a chicken strip). The two strips of chicken were so huge that I was able to give each girl half of one of the strips.  The fried corn was delicious, and the French fries tasty.  All of this was less than $5.oo.

Michele loves their chicken salad, and the girls and Super Sister’s burgers looked fantastic.

If you find yourself up Celina way, Burger Fixin’s is certainly recommended.

Blessings to your and yours,
