Halloween 2014

How convenient it was that Halloween was on a Friday night this year.  Oh, how I dreaded the day after Halloween each year when I was teaching.  Have lessons to teach – fuhgeddaboudit.  Sugar highs and tired children do not make for a good day of learning.

The Grands came over for trick or treat fun.  We have children on each end of the spectrum.  Hot Rod is not ready to give up trick or treating, and it was Pretty Baby’s first Halloween.

Hot Rod was Link from  Legend of Zelda, and Pretty Baby was Wonder Woman Baby.  Disclaimer – Pretty Baby was captive and we could take a bazillion pictures of her.  On the other hand, Hot Rod had more important things to do than have his picture taken. (I felt lucky to get a few shots.)

Momma Jenny made the majority of this costume.  I am so impressed.  She found the Wonder Woman onesy, and then she made the tutu, crown, arm bands, and belt.  She even dyed the pair of socks.  Wow!  I think she is the Wonder Woman

Forget flying.  I prefer this mode of transportation.

Halloween has always been a fun time at Hot Rod’s home.  Momma Mikel makes Halloween fun.  I am always amazed at her.  She dresses up and at times applies lavish make-up.  This year was more low-key since she came directly from work, but I love how she always gets in the spirit of the holiday.

Sweet Mother of Pearl.  He is getting so tall.  I can’t believe it.

He was ready to take on the world. (Or at least the block)

It was a good Halloween.  I feel blessed to be near family.

Blessings to you and yours,
