A Reception to Honor Candy

The Living Stones Bible Fellowship Class was honored to be asked to host a church-wide reception for Candy Smith our Learn Pastor who is retiring.  Every member of the class wanted to be involved with the  reception.  Their willing spirit and dedication was amazing.  I am so proud to be part of this group of wonderful ladies.

If I might say so myself, I think we pulled off a more than decent party.  The powers that be told us to plan for 400 guests.  That is a lot of people.  I kept reminding myself that Jesus fed over 5000 people on more than one occasion, and he even had left-overs.

In this post I will share just a few pictures.  I will show more details in another post.

The tables were adorned with cloches filled with fairy lights.  This is the entry table.

The cloches on the tables gave a glow to the room.  It is not easy decorating the church fellowship hall.  The room is a large rectangle with no architectural details.

On the cake table, a tiered server held fresh flowers and napkins.  It had a great look.  Lighted trees were also on the serving tables.

Punch and hot cider were served .  Tall silver lanterns decorated this table.

Be still my heart.  I could not have been more pleased with the cheese and fruit table.  I liked it.  I loved it.

All of the Living Stones worked to honor Candy with this reception.  We admire and love her so very much.

May you be so blessed to have friends such as the Living Stones.  They strive to honor God in all they do.

Blessings to you and yours,

More to come.
