Friend BB had a birthday last November, and it was a special day – 11-11-11.  We couldn’t let that day pass without a celebration.  The Jefferson Ladies and a couple of other friends were invited for lunch along with sister Carol and daughter Erin who flew all the way from Virginia for the special occasion.

For those of you who know BB, you know she likes the glitz and the glam.  If it sparkles, she wants to wear it.  In her honor, we wore our jewels.  The invitations sang, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”  (Found the invitation at Party City)

Remember, this was November – think Fall.  White pumpkins with crystal stems adorned the table.  China, crystal, and jeweled napkin rings were used.  Chocolates were wrapped with personalized paper for the favors.  Notice the red wax lips.  The girls had so much fun with these.

BB isn’t much for tearoom food, so here is the menu served:

Everyone was such a good sport.  They dressed up for the photo booth.  I laughed until I cried.

Sister Carol was funny and touching as she told how a late in life baby (BB) was such a blessing to their family.
