“Eat in the revolving tower overlooking Niagara Falls,” more than one friend recommended.

Skylon

Skylon Tower is a revolving restaurant that towers 775 feet above Niagara Falls.  There are three levels to the tower – a revolving dining room, a buffet suite, and the observation deck.  You can get tickets just for the observation deck if you like.

Reservations were for 8:00 pm.  Perfect!

Since it is a revolving restaurant, our first view was of the recreational area on the Canadian side of the falls.

This area is like a carnival.  There is a Ferris wheel, a miniature golf course, a bowling alley, arcade centers, a movie house, a wax museum, etc.  Bright light shine, and plenty of fun is available for all.  So many families vacation in Niagara Falls.  In our hotel complex, there was a Hard Rock Cafe, a Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, a play land (arcades), and an indoor  water park.  The tall white tower which was also attached to our hotel provided more adult entertainment – a casino.

As the restaurant turned we could see the bridge and the American side of Niagara Falls.  On the American side, is the Niagara Falls State Park which is the oldest state park in the United States.  In this park you can learn about the falls, and experience the majesty of the falls.

From the Canadian side of the falls you can enjoy the fantastic panoramic views.  Beautiful – especially from the Skylon Tower!

Seeing the Niagara River and the Horseshoe Falls from this vantage point is a sight I will never forget.

Suddenly the mist appeared to be on fire – sunset.

A golden glow began creeping across the city.

Be still my heart.  What an awesome view.

Within minutes lights lit up the city sky, and the falls were illuminated – a beautiful sight!

I had trouble falling asleep that night.  My heart was so full of joy, awe, and praise.

Blessings to you and yours,
